I'm tired in all ways and forms of the word. Something beyond exhaustion. I'm tired of waking up in the morning, knowing how the day will turn out. I'm tired of seeing your sad face, I'm tired of your "I Don't Know"s. I'm tired of this mask I put on for the rest of the whole damn world, so nobody can see how miserable I am. I'm tired of laughing a fake laugh, because I can't do it for real. and I'm tired of caring, because it hurts too damn much.

I used to be able to see you with transparency to look at your face and know what you're thinking; every little thought that sat at the corner of your mind and understand what you were feeling. We went beyond finishing each other's sentences, we understood each others silences. Then in one careless moment you lied. It was something so small that I didn't even notice the cracks forming at the frames. It happened for so long that when everything became so cloudy, I accepted it as something that was meant to be. I was blind to seeing you and when the illusion fell from my face I saw what you had become and everything shattered on the floor.

I tried, I did, To remain as strong as I could, But the darkness of the everyday Crept slowly into my head. My thoughts were tainted, My soul was torn, My emotions pained, And my body weak. The darkness had a grip upon my throat, Tightening ever so, Reminding me that it is always there. I tried, I did. But I couldn’t be strong any longer. And I let in the pain that demanded to be felt.

My outer shell seems tough and indomitable, but it is an illusion of sorts. A trick, a lie. You strip that away and you see I am incomplete. Pieces of me have been lost, and the few I could regain are kept in fragility. I am a person held together by string and tape... and I am unraveling. But I am a survivor, incomplete and fragile as I am, I keep going. And there is nothing that can stop me.

Depression for a writer is just something else to obsess about. We try to understand the emotion, put it into words, but even they fail to capture the enormity of it. Of how crushing it can be. But the world keeps on going, and one day, we wake up expecting to welcome the familiar crushing embrace, but find it doesn't have the same bite it used to, or that it is not there at all. Hi, my name is Julius and I just dabble around without knowing what I am even doing. Sometimes I write or draw, just whatever I like. I can get lost in my mind, it is deep and wondrous and infinite. My imagination, raw emotion, and overworking brain are my tools, and I couldn't have asked for better.

How to describe myself? I honestly don't know. But to give it a try, I am extremely honest at times, and I love to lie for the sake of messing with you. I am a hypocrite. I watch way too much tv shows and movies. I read classic literature, sci-fi, and fantasy books. I am fascinated with the female form, of beauty. I think way too much. I am an introvert, and go out regularly, especially if there is alcohol involved. I am at times, in a depressive state. I love to laugh, even at the shitty things. I have a big family. I am simply me. That is all.

Have words ever failed you...?

Have you ever been in a situation or felt something so indescribable that you immediately understood that it was something that cannot be explained or taught, that it was only something meant to be felt and understood. Words fail in these instances. And the quiet you share ‘is’ the words and speech that could say what could not be actually said. That silence is wonderful. That silence is rare. And I hope to have it again.

Ever since the year began, I have been feeling more and more restless. I have always enjoyed staying home, playing games, reading books, being by myself, but I have felt discontent with this now. I want to go out and do something for the sake of doing something. Hell, maybe something good might come of this. Or maybe not.
